Thyme in the Ranch is a cozy country café selling artisanal baked goods and tasty breakfast and lunch plates made using traditional family recipes. Mille Fleurs serves French and Californian fusion cuisine in an elegant country setting featuring gardens, patios, and a piano bar. The menu at this Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant features perfectly executed classic entrees such as lobster bisque and Dover sole.
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is a rustic boutique spa resort with enchanting views over the gorgeous surrounding countryside. The Inn opened in 1923 in a beautiful Spanish-style building designed by the Covenant’s famed architect. It features several private dining spaces and two exquisite public spots to eat and drink.
Morada offers creative coastal ranch cuisine prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients. The chef-driven meals at Morada are paired with a carefully curated wine list, handcrafted cocktails, and local craft beers.
The Huntsman is a refined old-world whiskey bar offering experimental cocktails and an impressive whiskey selection. The Huntsman has more than 160 whiskeys from 15 states and nine countries. Stop by on the last Tuesday of each month to enjoy themed tastings featuring small-batch distillers and limited run blends.
Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa is another luxurious Spanish-style country getaway with exceptional dining facilities. Veladora at Rancho Valencia focuses on chef-driven and Mediterranean-influenced coastal cooking with specialties such as slow-poached Maine lobster with lemon vinaigrette and slow pan-roasted filet mignon. The Pony Room is a destination bar and dining room with a truly exceptional drinks selection. The Pony Room’s collection includes locally brewed craft beers, unique signature cocktails, finest quality wines, and over 100 varieties of tequila.
One of the many delights of owning a home in Rancho Santa Fe’s Covenant is that residents enjoy the exclusive right to apply for membership of Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. Max Behr designed Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club’s incredible course in the 1920s, and it has hosted top golfers from every era since. During the 1930s, the course served as the original location of Bing Crosby’s famous pro-am Clambake. The course has been named one of the most walkable in the world. Members of the club also enjoy access to some of the world’s finest golf practice facilities and expert instruction.
The Farms Golf Club has an excellent 18-hole championship course that hosts tournaments for several major golfing organizations. This course is a magnet for some of the area’s top golfers, and Golf Digest has named The Farms one of the top 50 golf clubs with the best players in the United States.
Like the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, membership to the Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club is only available to those who own homes in the Covenant. The tennis club’s facilities include two clay courts, 10 hard courts, and access to expert teaching professionals.
Rancho Riding Club has been Rancho Santa Fe’s leading equestrian organization since the 1940s. Rancho Riding Club’s 11-acre property offers several horse pens and riding arenas, plus horse boarding stables and a rustic clubhouse. Rancho Riding Club organizes events such as horse shows, summer camps, and social gatherings.
